Privacy Policy

SuperLaw (“SuperLaw”, “we”, “us”) publishes legal news and analysis at superlaw.in. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible: you can read everything on SuperLaw without creating an account.

1. Information we collect

• Account information. If you register, we collect your name, email address, mobile number, and a password. Passwords are stored only as salted bcrypt hashes — we cannot read them.
• Authentication data. When you sign in, we place a signed session token in a cookie so you stay logged in (see our Cookie Policy).
• Reading data. We count article views in aggregate to understand what is being read. These counts are not linked to your identity.
• Technical logs. Like most websites, our servers record standard request logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and debugging, retained briefly.

We do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking, and we do not sell personal information to anyone.

2. How we use information

• To operate your account and keep you signed in.
• To publish, improve, and rank our editorial content.
• To secure the platform, prevent abuse, and debug problems.
• To comply with applicable law and lawful requests from authorities.

3. Third-party services

Some content on our pages is loaded from third parties, which may see your IP address when your browser fetches it: article and banner images are served from Unsplash and the websites of the original news sources, and account avatars are generated by DiceBear. Fonts are served from our own servers. We use AI services (such as Google Gemini) to help prepare editorial content; your personal information is not sent to these services.

4. Data retention and security

Account data is kept while your account exists. Session tokens expire after 7 days. We use industry-standard measures (encrypted transport, hashed passwords, role-restricted access) to protect data, though no online service can guarantee absolute security.

5. Your rights

Subject to applicable law — including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, and you may withdraw consent by deleting your account. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable period.

6. Children

SuperLaw is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above, and continued use of SuperLaw after a change means you accept the updated policy.
